A major contribution has been made to Ethiopia’s financial sector as the Network of Ethiopian Women in Finance (NEWFin), in collaboration with the SWIFT Program, celebrated the graduation of 1,000 young women professionals through the Young Women Professionals’ Development Program (YWPDP).
The Ethiopian Institute of Financial Studies (EIFS) is engaging in a joint planning and prioritization workshop with the SWIFT Program to align efforts and agree on shared priorities for the next three years.
Over three days, directors, managers, and technical experts from EIFS, NBE (National Bank of Ethiopia), and the SWIFT Program are participating in an offsite working retreat focused on developing a coordinated roadmap to advance the Institute’s transformation agenda.

One of the main outputs of the SWIFT Program is a Knowledge Hub designed to keep learning closely connected to real-world change in Ethiopia’s finance sector.
Working with banks, microfinance institutions, capital market operators, and academia, the hub turns evidence into practical insights and continuously updates training content across all SWIFT academies.
